Archangel
Written by Melissa Smith
The Archangel Phylum, whose name translates to "Chief Angels", are beloved by many and certainly one of my own favorites.
Archangels shine as beacons of divine light, guiding humanity with unconditional love and celestial wisdom. As a conduit for this wisdom, I feel a great responsibility to share what I receive, and I invite you to connect with these Divine Allies and embrace their transformative light and love.
Archangel History
The history of the Archangel Phylum, like all other Angel Phylum, stretches back to the dawn of Creation. They emerged from the Divine Source, sparks of pure consciousness given form to serve as God’s Chief Angels, a class of Leaders, Messengers, and Warriors.
Archangels are not untouchable figures bound by religious dogma but pure, eternal, galactic soul beings who have walked alongside humanity since our Genesis. Across many cultures and faiths on Earth, their presence has been deeply felt, though their names and stories have always varied like colors in a kaleidoscope.
Historically, Archangels appear across spiritual traditions, from the Abrahamic faiths to metaphysical teachings. Yet, Archangels themselves have no ties to any single religion. They are universal, working with all who seek their light, whether through prayer, intention, meditation, or even a quiet moment of surrender.
These divine emissaries, created by God to serve as intermediaries between the Divine and humankind, are extensions of God’s love. Each one carries a unique vibration and is driven by a unique purpose to assist God, each other, and us in our soul’s journey.
Archangel Symbology
Archangel symbology can vary between faiths and traditions. I share only that which has been shared with me through my abilities as a psychic medium during conversations with these incredible beings.
The use of Archangel symbology can serve as a way to honor these beings and what they do for us, a way to call out to them when we are seeking something they offer, and a way to remind of us of the qualities they represent, and we wish to emulate.
For these reasons, symbology is deeply personal. Should you feel more connected to or reminded of the Archangels through the use of other symbols then I encourage you to embrace that but always make your intention known.
The following is representative of the overall Archangel Phylum, individual Archangels, like Michael and Gabriel for example, have their own personal symbology as well.

Archangel Connection
While ancient texts and traditions do provide a basic primer, through conversations with these beings, one can only discover a much broader, more intimate truth about the Archangels, that they are ever-present, unbound by time and space, uninhibited by creed, and ready to answer our calls with grace. My own conversations have revealed their desire to uplift, protect, heal, and guide humanity toward enlightenment and pure, divine love.
