Diamond Options

Diamond Size

  • 0.25ct
  • 0.50ct
  • 0.75ct
  • 1.00ct
  • 1.50ct
  • 2.00ct
  • 2.50ct
  • 3.00ct
  • 3.50ct+

The size of your diamond has a direct effect on the cost and the length of time needed to grow the diamond. When you order your diamond, you are ordering an approximate size that falls within a range though it could turn out slightly larger.

Diamond Color

  • Yellow/Amber
  • Blue
  • Green
  • Red
  • Black
  • Colorless
  • Pink

The color of the diamond has a direct effect on the cost. Diamonds grown from ashes, hair, or fur will naturally turn out deep yellow/amber due to the presence of nitrogen and boron in the body. However, we can add and remove minerals in order to create other colors. If the nitrogen is removed, the diamond will turn out blue from the remaining boron. If all minerals are removed, the diamond will be colorless (white).

Yellow/Amber is the least expensive option and Colorless and Pink are the most expensive color options.

Diamond Shape

  • Round
  • Angelique™
  • Asscher
  • Princess
  • Pear
  • Heart
  • Oval
  • Marquise
  • and more

The shape of your diamond will also directly effect the cost. This is because some fancy shapes require the diamond to be grown larger to get the desired finished size and carat weight. The cut itself may be more intricate and take longer to create. For instance, a Round Brilliant has 57 facets but Missy's Angelique™ design has 137 facets.

The most common shape is the Round Diamond, whether the Round Brilliant or Angelique™, and these cuts will actually utilize as much of the rough carat weight as possible.

Multiple Diamonds

  • Two
  • Three
  • Four
  • Five

Quantity discounts are available for those that want to have multiple diamonds grown. This is a great option when multiple members of a family want a memorial diamond. You can save 5% on a second stone or 10% on a third stone. We have price breaks for those ordering up to five diamonds.

Carbon Requirements

Forever Ember™ Memorial Diamonds

Diamond grown from your deceased loved one's carbon to honor their memory.

Ashes- 50-500 grams+

Hair or Fur- 5-10 grams+

A combination of these can also be used. If growing multiple stones, more carbon will be needed. If you do not have enough from your loved one, you may contribute your own hair (or multiple people in your family may contribute hair) to make up the difference. We do encourage you to provide as large of a sample as possible to ensure no additional carbon needs to be added to create your stone.

Companies that require less carbon are adding carbon from another source to make up the difference. While this is certainly an acceptable practice in order to grow the desired diamond size, most people prefer to supply all or most of the carbon when given the option.

Forever Ember™ Living Diamonds

A Diamond grown from your carbon or from your living loved one's carbon.

There are many reasons why someone may choose to grow a Forever Ember™ Living Diamond. Here are just a few examples.

Forever Ember™ Eternal Love Diamonds

Celebrate your love with a diamond made from your hair, your partner's hair, or a combination. Couples may want to grow two diamonds, wear each other's diamond as a testament of your eternal love for each other.

Forever Ember™ Journey Diamonds

Celebrate your biggest milestones and achievements with a diamond made from your own hair. Parents may want to celebrate their child's birth, special birthday, Graduation or any other memorable milestone. You can even use hair from your child's first haircut.

Forever Ember™ Legacy Diamonds

Create diamonds from your own hair to give to your children and grandchildren. Creating a Legacy Diamond allows you to be part of the process and see your loved one's faces when they receive their diamond. When you do finally pass on, your loved one/s will already have their diamond and feel closer to you. You will have covered the cost and spared them from the long wait for a diamond to grow from your ashes.

To grow a Living Diamond, you will need:

Hair or Fur- 5-10 grams+

The hair or fur can come from one person or animal or from multiple people or animals.

The hair or fur can be cut or collected from a hairbrush over time. This amount of hair is equal to what most people lose naturally every 2-3 months. If you don't have enough, you can add carbon that is used when making traditional lab created diamonds (we will never add another person's carbon to grow your diamond).

Quote & Contract

Once you have chosen to grow a Forever Ember Diamond and you have finalized your preferences, you will be provided with an official quote. If you are ready to move forward, the official contract needs to be signed and payment is due.

Please note, the cost for a Forever Ember Diamond starts around $1,800 for a small stone and can go up to $20,000 or even more for a stone that is 3 carats or larger. Most people chose a 1 carat stone

We will then send you a collection kit with detailed instructions on how to collect the ashes and/or hair. If you are uncomfortable with handling your loved one's ashes, you may send all of their ashes to us for collection and we will return the remainder to you (the only charge for this service is for shipping). Missy and her team will handle your loved one's remains with the same love and respect as we would handle ashes from our own loved ones.

The collection kit must then be sent to the lab. Once received, an ID number and barcode are created and placed on to the lab. They will create an identification number and barcode to ensure your loved ones ashes are safe as they move through the diamond growing process.

Diamond Transformation

Your loved one's ashes and/or hair are first sterillized and then the carbon extraction can begin. Minerals are added and/or removed from the carbon in order to create the color you chose. The processed carbon, along with a tiny diamond seed, are then placed in the HPHT Press which mimics the same pressure and heat that creates diamonds in the earth.

The transformation process can take 6-12 months depending on the desired size and color of the diamond.

Once the diamond is ready, the press is opened and the diamond is removed.

The rough diamond is then sent to be cut and polished into your desired shape. This is done by a precision diamond cutting machine that utilizes the latest technology to ensure your stone shines as much as your loved one does in Heaven.

If you have opted to have your stone certified by the GIA or IGI, it will be sent there next. Certified stones also receive a laser id number inscription. If desired, a special message or your loved one's name can be lasered onto the stone.

As your diamond moves through these stages, you will be provided with updates and photos. It takes 1-3 billion years to create a diamond deep inside the earth. While it only takes 6-12 months to create a Forever Ember Diamond, we understand how anxious you will be to receive your stone and these updates will be something to look forward to.

Diamond Homecoming

If you ordered your diamond loose, it will be placed in a special keepsake gem box with a viewing window that allows you to easily show the diamond to your friends and family. You could even display it somewhere safe where you until you are ready to have it set.

If you chose a stock or custom jewelry design, your diamond will instead be shipped off to Missy's jewelry casting partner who will cast the jewel and set your diamond and any additional stones in your chosen design. The jewel will then be boxed and shipped to you.

Missy will provide you with an insurance appraisal through BrightCo for your diamond and its setting if you ordered one. She recommends purchasing an insurance policy through BrightCo in case your stone gets damaged, lost, or stolen.
