Description
As both a full-sensory Psychic Medium and an Artist, Missy Reno Smith is in a unique position that allows her to show the world exactly what she sees with her abilities. In The Ribbon Collector, (2021), Missy has again captured Tate Wachiwi (aka Emma), a young caretaker ghost that lives on the grounds of the Minnesota Renaissance Fair. Missy wanted to show Tate admiring the ribbons she enjoys collecting.

Pre-Orders
Missy offers a special Pre-Order option for most newly released Limited Edition Prints and Collectibles. During these events, you will be able to purchase the Limited Editions at a special introductory price. Missy saves on printing/production costs when submitting large initial orders and she is passing the savings onto her collectors. Once the Pre-Order period ends, the fee is set to the regular price and will never be lowered again.
Release Date & Shipping Date Expectations
The Pre-Order period is typically 3-4 weeks though the Limited Editions will not start shipping until at least 4-6 weeks after their official release date. This wait may increase if printing delays are encountered or if Missy and her team are processing many Pre-Orders at once. Collectors will be notified of any delays by email.
We want to be very clear about the process to better manage shipping expectations. We do appreciate your patience.
FRAMING OPTIONS:
Missy gets her custom frames at wholesale which allows her to pass along a considerable savings to her collectors. The frames are typically 50% less than what you would pay at your local frame shop or arts and crafts store. Only the finest fully archival materials are used to provide the highest possible protection for the artwork.
Frame options include both traditional frames and canvas friendly frames in wood or metal and both 4 ply and 8 ply museum board mats and canvas liners are available in many colors. Missy uses Tru Vue’s Conservation Clear or Conservation Reflection Control acrylic glazing for added UV protection for artworks and prints on fine art paper (canvases do not require glazing).
Frames come assembled though you will need to insert the artwork. The frames are shipped to collectors directly from Missy’s custom frame supplier to reduce shipping costs and eliminate the need for Missy to store frames in her studio. Please keep in mind that frames typically arrive before the art. Please inspect your frame upon delivery and then store is somewhere safe until the painting or print arrives.
CUSTOMIZE YOUR OWN FRAME PACKAGE:
If the frames offered on the website do not fit your home décor style, Missy’s team can help you select the best frame and mat/liner to compliment both the artwork and your home. Missy has access to thousands of custom frame moldings, mats, liners, and more through her framing suppliers. Like her custom frame add-on packages, the cost is typically 50% less than what you would pay at your local frame shop or arts and crafts store.
If you would like to customize your own frame package, please add the Customized Frame Package Deposit to the cart. The $200 deposit fee will be applied to the total frame package cost. You will be invoiced for any remaining balance after making your selections. The total cost depends on the frame type, size, and materials your choices but you can expect to pay $200-$1,200 they start around $250. This customized frame package option is available for only Original Artworks and Limited Edition Prints at this time.
CUSTOM SCULPTED FRAMES:
Missy designs unique frames with decorative patterns, scrollwork, and other sculpted components that compliment her artworks. She designs these frames in Zbrush and Maya. The digital design file is then sent to a CNC Milling partner that mills the frame. Different wood types and other special materials are available. The frame can be stained or painted and finished with special materials such as Gold Leaf, Platinum Leaf, or Mica as desired.
Missy’s custom sculpted frames are works of art themselves. If you would like to commission a custom sculpted frame for one of Missy’s paintings or limited editions, please sign up for her Fine Art Commission Wait List and select the Sculpted Frame option. The fees start around $1,200 though the exact cost will depend on the design complexity, size, and materials. If already commissioning a custom painting, a custom sculpted frame can be added at a special rate.
UNFRAMED CANVAS ART:
While paintings and prints on fine art paper must be framed under glass or acrylic, canvases can be hung on the wall with or without a frame. Missy uses 1.5″ deep stretcher bars to stretch her paintings and prints on canvas. Prints on canvas are gallery wrapped, the printed image is mirrored and wrapped around the 1.5″ deep stretcher bars for a professional finish. Missy also paints the edges of her original artworks on canvas for the same effect. This ensures a beautiful finish from every angle.
For a professional finish on the back, a canvas-like matte tape is applied over the staples to create clean finish. A wire hanger is installed on the back approximately 2/3 of the way up from the bottom of the canvas and a picture hanger wall hook is included for hanging. See photo below.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS:
Shipping fees are high for large, heavy items, especially when shipping internationally. It may be more cost effective to have your artwork/print framed locally if you live outside of the US. You can compare the costs by adding the framed art to the cart and then entering your address on the checkout page. Remove the framed art and repeat with the unframed option (be sure to include any other items you plan to purchase when comparing).
The use of an international shipping broker may also reduce your total shipping cost since these companies are able to negotiate far better international rates. There are quite a few of these brokers, Missy does not recommend any particular one. Remember to consider the costs to have your order shipped to the broker’s US location, which you can check by using their address on the checkout page, along with the fees the broker will charge to have your order shipped to your location. While paying two separate fees, the total may be less than what Missy would charge to ship to your location.
Shipping Limited Editions
The items Missy Reno Smith sells on her website ship from various locations. Orders with multiple item types and shipping origin locations will be split into separate packages. Each package has its own shipping fee which will be shown during checkout after you have entered your shipping destination. Each package will also be assigned its own order number and tracking number once it is ready to ship. You will receive separate order and shipping notifications for each package in your order.
Limited Edition Prints: 4-6 Weeks*
Limited Edition Prints are custom printed for each collector. After receiving these prints, Missy inspects each one carefully for quality and color accuracy before signing and numbering and issuing a Certificate of Authenticity. It typically takes at least 4-6 weeks for your Limited Edition Print to arrive (Embellished prints take longer). Pre-Ordered prints will not arrive until at least 4-6 weeks after the edition’s official release date.
You will receive a tracking number once your print has been shipped. Please monitor the shipment while in transit, you will need to sign for the delivery.
This info represents typical printing, processing, and shipping times for US shipments. International orders will take longer to arrive. The wait may also be lengthened by any printing, framing, and/or shipping delays encountered. Missy sells only the highest museum quality fine art reproductions prints and it takes time to produce prints of this caliber. We do appreciate your patience throughout this process.
Framed Prints: If you have ordered a framed print, the frame will most likely arrive before the print. Frames ship to the collector directly from Missy’s custom frame supplier. See the Framing tab for more information.
