Guardian Angel Phylum
Guardian Angels are our protectors. They watch over us from birth to death. Time is one of their major focuses, they keep us in time with our life plans and God’s big plan for this world so that we are always in the right place at the right time. Most people have two or more Angels watching over them. While many, but not all, Guardian Angels can look much like humans, they are not. We don’t become Angels and they don’t become us. Like Archangels, Guardian Angels do not always appear with wings, so not all of Missy’s Guardian Angel portraits feature wings. Missy will sometimes simply suggest wings in some creative way (like the feather-like flames behind Jophiel in God is My Beauty).

This Mixed-Media portrait on fine art paper depicts a Guardian Angel named Abigail as she appears to Artist and Psychic Medium Missy Reno Smith. Both digital and traditional paint mediums were used to create this painting. This portrait was commissioned and therefore prints are not available.
Abigail is one of several Angels that watch over Anya, a young girl in Minnesota. Missy asked Anya to name her and Abigail is what she chose. Abigail has what Missy refers to as “Angel Eyes”. Many Angels have large eyes and large irises (so not as much white is visible in comparison to human eyes). Archangels Jophiel and Uriel both have this feature as well.

Lars is one of several Angels that watch over a woman in California. She is quite tall but he towers over her. His height, strength, and long blonde hair inspired Missy to call him Lars and title this portrait “The Viking Bodyguard”. His actual name, like many other Angels, has sounds we simply cannot make with our human vocal chords. Angels do not care what we call them, they are simply happy that we do call on them.
